Family Life




A Family Man with a Growing Family

Henry has lived in Cobb County for 11 years, over 6 in the city of Powder Springs. He and his wife Gail Coelho Lust, have been married for 41 years. They have a growing family with 4 adult children, 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He is an Elder at his church as well as the Treasurer and Junior Sunday School Teacher. He is a thoughtful, humble, servant leader who is ready to roll up his sleeves and get to work.

Brown University, 1975

Henry received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Mathematics in 1975, from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island - one of the eight Ivy League universities found in the United States.

Retired after 35 years

IBM Corporation

Global Resource Manager

Henry retired from the IBM Corporation after 35 years of employment, beginning as a Systems Engineer and retiring as a Global Resource Manager. He held several management positions throughout his lengthy career at IBM including Systems Engineering Manager, Customer Center Manager, Project Manager, Professional Development Manager and Global Resource Manager. He was recognized for his service excellence with several distinguishing awards including the Systems Engineering Symposium Award, One Hundred Percent Club, the Golden Circle and was honored as Systems Engineer of the Year.

The Tutoring Center of Powder Springs

Co-owner and Center Director

Henry and his wife Gail co-own The Tutoring Center of Powder Springs, which has been helping children in the Greater Powder Springs area for almost 4 years. They employ a staff of 6 instructors, who, like the owners, are passionate about helping children improve their academics and their confidence. The Center's after-school programs focus on the core subjects: reading, math and writing for grades K-12.
